Golden Fields’ Chicory coffee
is made from roasted chicory roots. Chicory is of the same family as dandelion, but is sweeter.Scientific studies on the chicory are numerous and well documented. Chicory helps the digestive functions of the pancreas, liver and gall bladder, stimulates appetite and helps digestion. Chicory is also documented to stimulate lactation. It has properties similar to those of dandelion, its actions being tonic, laxative and diuretic. As well as its bitter constituent, it contains inulin, other sugars of the fructose family. Additional Information:
Chicory is a fine coffee substitute in itself or with spices or ginger added. It combines well with real coffee and, as a result, coffee has a less stimulating effect. An all milk drink is made more digestible with chicory infused in it, and has a beautiful sweet flavour.
Ingredients: Chicory root certified organic and grown in New Zealand both in the granules and in the sachets.
